.   US Route 163 is considered one of the scenic byways of America - at least in the west.  Kayenta is ideally located on 163, making it easy to just drive around and enjoy (read - photograph) the scenery.

.  Route 163 takes you to the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, Mexican Hat, little-known Valley of the Gods, and a turn-off takes you to the breathtaking Moki Dugway.
