Monument Valley straddles the Utah and Arizona state lines, and the
nearest town is Kayenta. Our drive from Utah convinced us that we
should spend a full day there before continuing on, so we got a room at
the Holiday Inn.
Although Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings time, Kayenta is on
the Navajo reservation - and the reservation observes DST. The
hotel had three clocks - Utah time, Arizona time, and Reservation time!
Monument Valley is a photographer's nightmare - too many things to
photograph in its 92,000 acres!! The Hatari seat got a LOT of use.
