SPRING FLING 2002


	By the time we left the Colorado River Basin, a serious gale had blown in. We stopped at the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, after another hour or more of off-roading to get there. The view was spectacular.

	The visibility was less than 50 feet, and the wind gusts were measured above 90 mph (in fact, they closed the Interstate running from Las Vegas to Needles (?) due to high winds and low visibility). After leaving the rim of the Canyon, we drove down into the Joshua Tree Forest.

	Medium image	By the time we left the Joshua Tree Forest, the weather was clearing some. Now all we had left was to enjoy another hour or two of off-road driving!
