South Temple Group

   The south temple, visible in the distance on the hill, is somewhat deteriorated (and also kinda hard to get to)

   The area is surprisingly hilly.   Known as the Puuc hills, it is a dry forest area.  I ran about 10 miles in the morning.  It was hot, and steamy, and much hillier than I would have predicted - and the drivers are absolutely crazy on the road, which has no shoulders (and doesn't seem to have any concept of staying in lanes, either).  All in all, I thought I was destined to join the Mayan ancestors is some pickup truck came over a hill too fast!
